Oxygen core lances are suitable for thermal cutting of very large steel parts. Also known as a thermal lance, the torch rod consists of a tube that is also filled with wires. Oxygen flows through the oxygen lance during operation and is ignited at the tube outlet, which leads to highly exothermic combustion of the tube material.

The high melting temperature makes thermal lances suitable for cutting carbon steel and stainless steel.

Oxygen lances with a diameter of 16 mm or 3/8" have proven themselves for cutting heavy steel parts. Filling the tubes with particularly fine wires in the diameter range from 2 to 2.5mm results in an extremely high cutting performance with absolutely stable burning behavior. Our standard length of 3 meters is inexpensive and usually available at short notice. Other lengths are available on request.
